November and December 2025 edition
elcome to the November/
December issue of ARC
Magazine - the last issue of 2025!
This issue kicks off with a thought-
provoking opening lines, discussing
volunteering in the sector. Our features
cover a range of topics, starting with an
introduction to ARA’s 2025-2030 strategy,
from ARC’s editor Deborah Mason. We
then have an insightful article on the
establishing of the London Records of
Slavery Network and their launching
of a new toolkit. This is followed by an
interview with Anne Cornish (RIMPA)
and Michael Haley (ARMA International)
focusing on their work, technological
challenges for the profession and the
recent meeting of the Global Information
Consortium. The final article focuses
on the project, established by the West
Sussex Record Office, ‘Documenting
the HIV and AIDS epidemic: a survey
of HIV and AIDS archives in the United
Kingdom’, with a detailed overview of the
project, alongside recommendations for
next steps.
This issue's Community News section
has ended up being, unintentionally,
creatively themed -
with some insights
into the world of
photography, cinema
and David Bowie!
It has once again been an absolute
pleasure editing this latest issue and
hearing about all the wonderful goings
on in the archive, conservation and
records management world. A huge
thank you to all the contributors we have
had for this issue. If you have any ideas
for future issues, please get in touch:

Wishing you all a great end to the year
and see you again in 2026!
Happy reading.
