experiences. Comparing
ARA with IRMS, which has a
dedicated Islands Group, we
decided to create this new
group to support international
professionals and form a
network. The Committee has
been instrumental in making
this work, developing our
training programme and ways
to connect our members. The
International Group is open
to any ARA member who is
interested in our work and you
can find out more about what
we have planned here.
Volunteering with ARA
has been one of the best
decisions I have made. Being
part of the ARA committee
offers opportunities to meet
new people and develop
communication, project
management and leadership
skills. It also allows you to
contribute to the sector and
learn more about how ARA
works.
Outside of the world of
archives and records
management, what do you
like to do in your spare time?
When I am not spending time
with my husband, Josh, or
my Dad, I really enjoy getting
outside and cycling, living in
such a beautiful place, it really
helps my body and mind. I also
love to read fantasy and crime/
thriller books to escape from
reality.
